Since my early childhood, I've been captivated by drawing and painting. I can remember sitting in the back garden with a jam jar of water, a brush, paper, and paints when I was about four years old. I just loved it!
I enjoyed art throughout my school years, and trained in graphic design, graduating from the University of Lancaster.
My professional journey then led me down a different path, working in newspaper editorial, book publishing, and as a personal assistant, but my passion for painting and the creative arts has never waned!
These days I work part-time in the theatre industry, create the artwork that I love from my studio in the pretty Peak District, and collaborate with other artists on local community projects.
On this site you will find a blend of my artistic evolution and creative endeavours, which I hope you will enjoy. Thank you for taking the time to join me on this creative adventure!

My studio is based in the Peak District, where I am blessed to have wonderful views of the surrounding countryside. Landscape painting is my true passion, and I relish the challenge of capturing each season, from the vibrant hues of spring to the rich, earthy tones of autumn.
When it comes to my artistic style, I'm undeniably a details person, and my work reflects this. My favourite medium is gouache, a versatile and vibrant paint that enables me to bring my intricate visions to life.
I also have a fondness for sketching, often using pen and watercolour, making it an ideal choice for plein air work.
Whether I'm in my studio or outdoors, I'm always equipped with a camera and a sketchbook, ready to capture moments of inspiration as they strike! This cheeky little watercolour sketch was created whilst on a fabulous holiday in St Vincent and the Grenadines.
I really enjoy taking photographs and I am never without a camera! Each year I produce a photo calendar of the local area, which has proved to be very popular.

I hope you'll enjoy viewing some of my work by visiting the Gallery sections. If you're searching for that perfect gift, a high-quality print for your home, greeting cards, or a calendar then please visit the 'shop'.
